· Eye and ear protection is mandatory.
· Your membership card must be in your possession, and shown upon request. Guests must be accompanied by a member.
· Shooting hours are 9:00 AM until dusk, Monday through Saturday; and 10:00 AM until dusk, Sunday.
· During any “COLD” range situation, when someone is downrange or if someone calls “CEASE FIRE”, ALL firearms must be unloaded with actions open and laid on the bench, pointed downrange. Handling of any firearm or accessory, is PROHIBITED
· All shooters must put up a flag at a designated spot while putting up and taking down targets.
· If a malfunction of a loaded firearm occurs, and/or someone calls “CEASE FIRE”, all shooting must stop, all firearms must be unloaded and placed on the bench with their actions open, until the malfunction is cleared.
· Firearms may be loaded only after a “HOT” range has been called and you are in a shooting position. If you leave the shooting position, you must unload your firearm.
· Make sure that your target position is aligned with your shooting position, to avoid crossfire.
· All shots must be directed at targets, fastened to the permanent backboard, so that bullets enter the earthen backstop. Keep targets inside of the vertical support posts and horizontal board supports.
· Do NOT shoot the support posts or braces.
· Do NOT place targets on the ground.
· Absolutely NO shooting at bottles, cans or ANY other object. Trick-shooting or aerial shooting is strictly prohibited!
· Shotgun patterning is limited to the patterning board. No shotgun shooting is permitted at ANY airborne target.
· Do not fire .22 caliber HANDGUNS from farther than 25 yards.
· Reckless rapid fire is prohibited. All shots must be aimed and hit your target.
· No alcohol is permitted on the ranges. Intoxication or disorderly conduct is prohibited.
· If a crowded condition exists, you must wait at least 15 minutes between target visits. There is a 2 hour time limit at a shooting position per member. Please be considerate and prompt when walking to and from the target position.
· If all firing points are in use, guests must share their host member’s position to allow other members to shoot.
· All persons must dispose of their targets and litter in the garbage cans. Spent brass/casings must be picked up and placed in the proper receptacles. Your mother does not live here. Clean up after yourself!
· Ranges may be closed from time to time for maintenance or club functions. Your help on these occasions would be appreciated.
· Mingo Rod & Gun Club, Inc, its officers and directors are not liable for any damages to any member or guest arising from the use of our property or facilities.
. Not shooting cross range, if you are seated at shooting position 1, you must shoot at the target frame labeled 1. The target areas and benches are labeled.
· Violation of any of the listed rules is cause for disciplinary action.
